When I decided to jump into the entrepreneurship world and eventually leave my corporate job, I made the honest choice to pursue a life aligned to my values, use the power of my creativity to inspire and innovate while being of service to my community, and create consistency.
I knew that would require me to enter into the chaotic entrepreneurship world. My corporate job did not match any of my desires at that stage in my life (sorry Adidas). However, I had no idea how to position myself in the online market, I had too many ideas, I lacked clarity, I had an excuse for everything to put myself out there.
Everything changed when I took finally the step of committing. I worked on my mindset and encounter many limiting beliefs, money blockages, and feelings of guilt.
How to work on commitment and change my mindset?
You know, there are many things that you can change in your daily habits that can improve the way you think about yourself. Such normal things as eating better, make exercise, practicing mindfulness, and of course, appreciate the present and things that are happening just right now.
But beyond that, you can focus on two things to create consistency: connecting and learning.
The first one encourages you to share with people. The connection is fundamental to human needs. That’s why is necessary for you to feel close to someone who values you for who you are and the things you do. It is clear that sometimes we need someone on our side, to trust us and give us the strength we need to achieve a goal. So… don’t underestimate social contact.
Try always to save a date for your friends, meet someone new or simply talk with a stranger. It will create an enriching cycle of understanding, and relieve stress and creative blockages.
The second is about cultivating your intellect. When you are open to learning, you accept that this knowledge will work for the good, uplifting your self-esteem and giving you the power to help and teach others; strengthen connections, and having a more socially active life.
Everything can be part of learning, watching a documentary, reading the news or a new book, applying for a scholarship, signing up for a class. Everything has its benefits, even if you can’t see it that way.
Do it for you!
I allowed myself to get all the clarity that I needed in order to grow, to show up and be there for my community.
Today I encourage you to show up. You are inspiring and helping more people than you know. If you are reading this right now, I want you to know that I truly believe in you.
